JLB authors new book on agency performance evaluation

JLB was retained by the Association of National Advertisers to author a new book titled "Evaluating Agency Performance". The book reviews the key considerations for marketers looking to establish or fine-tune a method for productively evaluating the performance of their marketing communications agencies. "Best practices" for both creating and managing evaluation tools are identified, and real-world client examples are provided for reference.

Mary Ryan Conrad Joins JLB as Senior Associate.

Mary Ryan Conrad joined the Chicago office of JLB in June as a Senior Associate. Mary was previously the VP of Marketing for Peapod.com, where she was in charge of all customer acquisition, loyalty and retention, and integrated marketing programs.

She was also responsible for the selection process and relationship management of Peapod’s three communications agencies; skills that are ideally suited for JLB’s consulting practice.

Prior to Peapod.com, Mary was SVP, Director of New Business at FCB Chicago and a Group Account Director on the Motorola, Snapple and Illinois Lottery accounts. Mary’s 25-year career also includes leadership positions at the Bayer Bess Vanderwarker and DDB Needham advertising agencies. Client experience includes Quaker Oats, Ameritech, Helene Curtis, Maybelline, Kraft, McDonald’s and General Mills.

Mary received an M.S.J. in advertising from the Medill School of Journalism and a B.A. in psychology from Northwestern University. Mary is actively involved in the University of Chicago’s Cancer Research Foundation Women’s Board and in Northwestern University’s Council of One Hundred, a professional mentoring program for women.
